Asset Integration Engineer
We are looking for an Asset Integration Engineer to execute the onboarding of our exponential pipeline and make the process scalable enough to handle it efficiently.
About Hybrid Greentech
Hybrid Greentech is a Danish energy trading company and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) operator accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon energy system. Through our advanced flexibility platform, we connect, aggregate and optimise utility-scale and distributed energy resources (DERs), including grid-scale batteries and renewable assets, to provide grid services, decarbonise energy consumption and enhance grid resilience. We are a diverse, international team of 40+ based in Høje Taastrup, building technology that makes 100% renewable energy workable in practice.
As Hybrid Greentech scales, this role is central to how quickly and reliably we can bring new assets onto the platform.
The role
We're looking for a hands-on engineer to complement our Asset Integration team. You'll own the technical side of getting new assets connected and communicating correctly, from network setup and protocol-level integration (Modbus, IEC 104) to writing robust, low-level code that talks to BESS, PV and other high-voltage systems in the field. You're comfortable designing and maintaining APIs, and you have an eye for automating and improving workflows, helping the team become more scalable.
Beyond the technical skill set, we're looking for someone who works well with others, cares about the energy sector, thrives on the pace of a fast-growing company and takes ownership of what they build.
What you will do
• Understand on-site network configurations and set up our communication hardware accordingly, ensuring connectivity once that hardware is on site.
• Create Modbus integrations to Power Plant Controllers or directly to OEMs.
• Manage our API integrations and assist partners integrating into our API.
• Perform pre-qualification (PQ) tests of assets and carry out failure analysis in case of test failures.
• Do low-level programming to improve our existing support tools or develop new ones, such as pre-qualification modules or database interfaces.
What you bring
Need to have
• 1-5 years of experience in asset integration, operations, commissioning or as an electrical engineer working with energy systems.
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, networking (network communication, diagrams and similar).
• Experience with at least two of the following languages: Rust, C, C++ and C#.
• High-voltage systems, such as BESS, PV and other flexible assets.
• Language: English (required).
Nice to have
• Master's degree in engineering.
• Knowledge of ancillary services.
• Prior hands-on experience with communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 104). Not required, but a plus if you've already worked with them.
• Prior hands-on experience designing and maintaining APIs. Not required, but a plus if you've already worked with them.
• Automation of processes, making solutions leaner and more scalable.
• Understanding of SCADA systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity.
• Language: Danish.
What we offer
• The opportunity to shape the processes and technology enabling the growth of a rapidly scaling clean tech company.
• A collaborative, mission-driven team focused on the energy transition and decarbonisation.
• Competitive compensation package.
• High ownership and room to shape your role in a trust-based culture with short decision lines.
Deadline
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until 25 September 2026. We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier if a suitable candidate is identified and accepted.
